2'-Fucosyllactose (Human Milk Oligosaccharide)

Product description

Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) are complex sugar molecules that resist digestion and promote growth of healthy microbiota in the gut. HMOs are the third largest component in human milk after lactose and lipids at 10-15g/L. Unlike breast milk, bovine milk does not contain the quantity nor unique structures needed for optimal infant development.

The most abundant HMO is 2'-Fucosyllactose (2'-FL) at 2g/L. It is a selective prebiotic that can only be digested by some probiotics.
