About us
LIS by
Lesaffre is a
major European player in drying ingredients for food, feed, nutraceuticals,
cosmetics and pharmaceuticals markets, with 2 production sites in France &
Poland.
With 50
years of experience in the field, we can support you in your growth, from
laboratory to pilot and industrial scale on various technologies : standard
spray-drying, continuous drying in a vacuum tunnel, and the latest addition of
electrostatic spray-drying (PolarDry®).
Our Process
& Innovation team provides full support from feasibility studies at the
Powder Studio™ , to scaling-up on pilot and industrial equipment.
Our range
of equipment covers various drying capacities: Towers sizes,
single- stage and multiple-stage spray drying towers, vacuum drying, offering
the possibility to obtain a variety of powder types (fine
powders, micro-granulated powders, high- and low-density powders).
In addition
to vacuum-belt drying, we expanded our range of gentle & protective drying
services with the PolarDry® technology. This electrostatic
spray-drying under nitrogen, is particularly suitable for products
requiring advanced microencapsulation, such as aromatic molecules,
colors, essential oils, or low-temperature drying such as live
microorganisms, probiotics and certain proteins.
Our
environmental commitments are reflected in the ISO 50001 certification and the
start of a new biomass boiler in France in 2024. This 85% decarbonization of
our drying activity also benefits all our customers who are committed to a CSR
approach (Corporate Social Responsibility) and have environmental imperatives
to respect.
Our commitment also extends to LIS Polka, where a biomass heater is
currently under construction.
