About us

We are lupineers – true pioneers and experts: Prolupin’s originates from a group of researchers who had been investigating the potential of the sweet lupine at Fraunhofer IVV for a long time. They founded Prolupin in 2010 to bring about a true change in the food market with this knowledge. Today, our 40 employees in Grimmen and Bremen develop lupine products for plant-based nutrition – with more than 25 years of research in their pocket.

We employ a patented process to extract the protein from the regional sweet lupine and use it to develop innovative products: In this way, we bring delicious dairy alternatives such as yoghurt – or LUGHURT as it’s called here – to refrigerated display shelves with our brand MADE WITH LUVE. We produce customized food ingredients for the industry that can completely substitute the function of animal proteins.

We supply the raw material for consciously sustainable nutrition that tastes great – for a better life and a better future.
