Arginine HCL

L-Arginine Hydrochloride (HCL) is an amino acid needed to maintain the health of the liver, skin, joints and muscles. The hydrochloride analog’s molecules produce a neutral pH, making L-arginine HCL more palatable than L-arginine base powder when mixed with water or juice. L-arginine helps strengthen the immune system and aids in regulating hormones and blood sugar. It is considered a semi-essential amino acid. Although the body can normally manufacture enough for its own needs, there are times when dietary supplementation may be needed. During physical training cycles inadequate amounts of arginine may be synthesized in the liver from other amino acids. Arginine acts as a precursor to nitric oxide (NO), a vasodilator that increases the intensity and duration of blood flow to the muscles, removing toxins and replacing supplies of fuel and oxygen.

Arginine also stimulates and strengthens the immune system by increasing the production of T lymphocytes (T- cells) from the thymus gland. Arginine supports the liver by neutralizing the effects of ammonia and other toxic substances in the body. It is essential for the generation of urea, needed to remove toxic ammonia from the body during urination. Arginine is directly involved in a myriad of hormonal processes in the body. It supports and triggers the pancreas to release insulin and is used to manufacture the pituitary hormone vasopressin.
