Garcinia Cambogia Extract

Garcinia cambogia (syn. G. gummi-gutta, G. quaesita) is a subtropical species of Garcinia native to Indonesia. It is grown for its fruit in Southeast Asia, and west and central Africa. It thrives in moist forests. The yellowish fruit is pumpkin-shaped.
In Indian traditional medicine, this species was prescribed for edema, delayed menstruation, constipation and intestinal parasites. It was also used for rheumatism and bowel complaints.
Hydroxycitric acid(HCA) is a derivative of citric acid that is found in a variety of tropical plants including Garcinia cambogia and Hibiscus subdariffa.
