Why Is Liposomal Vitamin C Better Absorbed?
Liposomal vitamin C is encapsulated within microscopic lipid spheres called liposomes. These liposomes are made of phospholipids, the same type of fat molecules that form human cell membranes. This structural similarity allows liposomes to easily fuse with cell membranes, facilitating the direct delivery of vitamin C into the bloodstream and cells.
Liposomal vitamin C has a prolonged retention time compared to standard vitamin C. While regular vitamin C is mostly excreted within 2-3 hours, liposomal vitamin C can remain active in the body for up to 24 hours, ensuring continuous benefits throughout the day.
