propylene glycol alginate E405 is off white powder, is made by esterification of the carboxyl groups in alginic acid with propylene glycol groups. It is soluble in both cold and hot water and forms smooth and viscous solutions. Propylene Glycol Alginate (PGA) can be used in such areas where sodium alginate does not work.
