Sensient Technologies has opened its new technical development and application centre in Biopolis One, Singapore. The new facility will allow local Sensient units and customers to develop product solutions from locally developed initiatives based on Sensient’s global product portfolio.

Sensient said it will employ food scientists, flavourists, colour chemists and applications scientists from all of its business units in order to serve the development needs of customers in the region. The centre is equipped with application lines as well as developmental equipment which give the company the ability to replicate customer conditions in many market segments, including food and beverage, fragrance, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

“This facility enables us to replicate our customers’ own manufacturing processes, making it easier to develop products and technologies that can be tailored to their specific application environments,” said Paul Manning, President and CEO for Sensient Technologies Corporation. “It is these globally connected innovation centres where our people and our insight into our customers’ processes have enabled us to achieve a position of strength in our local markets. The new facility will enable us to work more closely with our customers to satisfy their product, application technology and innovation requirements, as well as helping to inspire their next generation of products.”<
