Devil’s claw, also known as Harpagophytum (Harpagophytum procumbens and zeyheri), is a plant that grows only in Southern Africa.

The common name comes from the fruit particularity to be equipped with claws that seem specifically designed to grip that rubs. Its name means “spear plant”.
