High blood cholesterol level is the first risk factor for coronary heart disease. Studies have shown that a 10% decrease in blood cholesterol level can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by 19% to 54% depending on a person’s age. However phytosterols cant be easily incorporated in nutraceutical products as they are insoluble in water or oil.

LIPOPHYTOL™ microcapsules is a dispersible form of plant sterols (from soy or pine tree origin) which has been microencapsulated to facilitate their incorporation in food matrices.
