Omega-3 Oils - Ingredients with additional benefit Oils
Omega-3 fatty acids are very important essential fatty acids. They are found in marine sources, such as fish and algae, as well as in high-quality oils from a variety of plants.
Fish and algae are our primary sources of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and dicosapentaenoic acid (DHA). These key fatty acids are found in cold-water fish – for example salmon, mackerel, halibut, sardines, tuna and herrings – and in numerous varieties of algae. The essential fatty acid α-linolenic acid (ALA) can be found in the seeds of a number of plants and in the oils extracted from them.
