Alginic Acid

Product description

Alginic acid is a natural polysaccharide. Its main function is to be used as emulsifier or thickener in the food industry and daily chemical industry in the form of sodium alginate or potassium alginate. It is used as an ice cream, milkshake and other foods. And common ingredients of cosmetics. In the pharmaceutical industry, alginic acid is a commonly used excipient: its viscosity makes it a binder for tablets; because it swells with water, it is used as a disintegrant to disperse tablets in the human body; or The dispersant disperses the active ingredients into a liquid to become a suspension; alginate is used as a drug slow release agent. It is used in dentistry to replace plaster and rubber to make dental molds. Alginic acid itself can be used as an absorbent to treat heavy metal poisoning.
