Gum acacia is an exudation, coming from the Acacia trees, is obtained by the incision of the stems and branches of the Acacia. It is commonly known as E414 in the food industry, as well as Gum Acacia, Gum Arabic or Acacia Fiber. This natural product is multi-functional. It can be used in food, beverages and cosmetic industries. It is plant-based, natural, healthy and has a positive on digestive health. This additive is practically colourless, odourless and tasteless. Applications for gum acacia include confectionery, soft drinks, flavours industries, technical, oenology, beer, snacks, bakery products, dairy products, ice creams. It is used for fibre enrichment for dietary products, Printing inks including paints (lithography), paper, industrial applications, o/w emulsions in spray-dried/encapsulation of oil soluble substances (flavours/colourings/vitamins).
