Lactose has about three times less sweetening power than commercially available sugar and primarily is a tasteless filler for food production. Biolac's Ultralac® Lact 99 offers different variations with respect to colour, milling grade and functionality. Due to its chemical and physical properties, lactose is an ideal carrier and filler in the pharmaceutical industry.
